GWISE is designed to assist in the professional and personal advancement of women in science and engineering at Northeastern University. GWISE strives to provide women with the support and resources necessary to create a sense of community. To achieve this, GWISE will sponsor events covering networking, career options, balancing work and personal life, and other issues affecting women in the sciences.

GWISE’s hundreds of members include students from master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs across Northeastern’s colleges. While the group’s programming focuses on people who identify as women, meetings are open to all graduate students regardless of gender.

I don’t know what I am if I’m not a woman.
